Our fees are primarily guided by the Advocates (Remuneration) Order. This is a statutory scale that sets the minimum fees an advocate must charge for specific tasks (like land transfers or company incorporation) to ensure fair competition. For litigation, we charge an Instruction Fee based on the value of the subject matter, plus costs for court appearances and document drafting.

2. Do you offer free initial consultations?

We offer a brief 15-minute preliminary assessment to determine if we can assist with your matter. In-depth legal advice and file reviews are subject to a consultation fee, which is often credited toward your total bill if you choose to retain our firm.

3. What is a "Retainer"?

A retainer is an upfront deposit paid to secure our services. It is held in a Client Account and used to cover disbursements (like court filing fees and stamp duty) and earned legal fees as the case progresses.

4. How long does a standard land transfer take in Kenya?

With the rollout of the Ardhisasa digital platform, a straightforward transfer typically takes 30 to 90 days. However, delays can occur due to pending land rates, rent clearances, or valuation hurdles by the Government Valuer.
